SnagVid vs other TikTok downloader sites
TikTok downloader sites solve yesterday’s problem — getting the clip. Short-form work starts after: moving the clip between TikTok, Reels and Shorts without watermark traps. That is the job SnagVid is built around.
| SnagVid | other TikTok downloader sites | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free — supported by one short ad before each job | Often “freemium”: the first job is free, then subscriptions and credits appear |
| Sign-up | None — no account exists | Often required before repeat or advanced jobs |
| Watermarks | Never — output is the clean file | Common on free tiers; removing them is a classic upsell |
| Upload limit | 200 MB per file | Free tiers typically cap uploads well below 200 MB |
| Daily caps | No per-day job counter; fair-use rate limits apply | Free tiers commonly limit jobs per day |
| Your files | Processed in a temp folder, deleted the moment you download | Varies — retention is often unclear or account-based |
| Tools in one place | 8 tools on this one site | Usually one job per site — a relay of uploads for a chain of jobs |
Built for clips that travel
A saved TikTok here can be reframed, trimmed and re-exported for Reels and Shorts on the same site. Single-purpose downloaders leave the actual cross-posting work to you and three other tabs.
The sound, handled properly
Short-form runs on sounds. MP3 extraction is a first-class option on every fetch, so a sound you save can become your next post’s audio — or your ringtone.
The honest bit
Honestly: if you only ever save TikToks and nothing else, a single-purpose app is a fine choice, and platform-native reposting will always beat any file-shuffling for sounds that live inside one app. The win here is for clips that travel — and most clips worth saving travel.

FAQ
Can I download a TikTok to repost it as a Reel?
The file, yes — in most cases clean as published. A watermark burned in by the creator cannot be removed by any tool, and platforms deprioritise watermarked imports, so originals travel best.
Do Shorts and Reels links work too?
Yes — the same downloader covers YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and 1,000+ other sources.
